Since the Brexit vote and the election of Donald Trump in the United States in 2016, the term “fake news” has been an intimate part of the electoral lexicon. This concerns both foreign and French democratic elections. The 2022 presidential election is no exception. On Thursday May 12, 2022 at 9 a.m., Kantar Public, the Kantar brand dedicated to public and government actors, is organizing a webinar to address this theme. It will be moderated by Emmanuel Rivière, Director of International Polling and Political Advisory and Chair at Kantar Public. It will address the impact of fake news on citizens’ voting intentions and ways to fight against the dissemination of this false information.
During the webinar, several specialists will share their expertise and their point of view on the subject. They will be based on exclusive data and recent opinion polls from Kantar Public. Among them :
- Laure Salvaing, Kantar Public, France;
- Laurence Vardaxoglou, PhD student, Kantar Public;
- Antoine Bristielle, Director of the Opinion Observatory, Jean Jaurès Foundation;
- Emmanuel Ferry, President, Ogilvy Paris.
