Web shops Zalando, Bol and Coolblue ignore privacy advice: ‘Customers are forced en masse to high-risk accounts’

Many large online stores ignore the privacy guidelines set in 2025 by the Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP) and the European Data Protection Board (EDPB). According to the regulators, in many cases web shops may not require visitors to create an account. Zalando, Bol.com, Wehkamp, ​​Amazon, AboutYou, Bonprix and Coolblue, among others, ignore these guidelines.
