Supermarkets Jumbo and Picnic have to pay much more for Douwe Egberts coffee and Pickwick tea to get those products back on the shelves. The price negotiations with JDE Peets, the company behind the brands, did not deliver the desired result, confirms Picnic CEO Michiel Muller after reporting from De Telegraaf. He predicts that consumers will also pay more for coffee and tea.
