Weak Royal HFC drops to third place, AFC draws against competitor

Royal HFC failed to win for the third game in a row. On a visit to Kozak Boys, the number sixteen of the second division, they lost 3-0 without a chance. AFC drew 1-1 against Noordwijk, while Jong FC Volendam was clearly too strong for De Treffers.

Two goals from Thomas Marijnissen left the Haarlem team behind 2-0 at halftime. Tarik Fagrach decided the match in the 54th minute by making the 3-0. Competitor HHC Hardenberg defeated Quick Boys 3-1 and takes over the second place from Koninklijke HFC. HHC has 55 points, HFC and Jong Sparta are third and fourth with 53 points.

AFC is in sixth place after thirty matches. Against number seven Noordwijk it seemed to go wrong when Marc de Kruijs made the 1-0 fifteen minutes before the end. Fortunately for the team from Amsterdam, Oussama Siali was there. He scored the equalizer in the 82nd minute.

The third North Holland club in this competition managed to seize three points. At home against De Treffers, Jong FC Volendam won 3-0. Tayrell Wouter (penalty kick), Jim Beers and Jordi Blom were the goalscorers in Volendam.

Due to the victory, Jong Volendam is now fourteenth in the second division. The lead over TEC, which lost 6-0 to leader Katwijk, is one point. The numbers fifteen and sixteen will play the play-offs at the end of the season for self-preservation.
