After the impressive win against Greece, Germany’s basketball players are back in a European Championship semi-final for the first time in 17 years. Greece’s press is disappointed with its own team: “We were simply executed.”
It was an outstanding victory for the German basketball team featuring the NBA stars Dennis Schroeder and Franz Wagner. The Greek press has shown itself to be fair and has been harsh on its team.
“MetroSport”: “Infamous end! Ironically, at the most important game, the Nationale was like a ghost and lost a great chance to play for a medal. Blackout on both defense and attack.”
