Erica Meiland has agreed with her family not to make any statements in the press about all their real estate that they are not sold. “It negatively influences the sale.”
If you manage to have your house on Funda for one year and eight months in the Netherlands, then you know that something is wrong. And as a potential buyer you know that you are buying a cat in the bag. It is exactly what is going on with Maxime Meiland’s horror villa: far too expensive, on a busy road, poor energy label and so on.
Reckless mood
It does not help Maxime that there is so much media attention for the sale of her villa, which she decided to sell after eight (!) Months. Why? She bought it in a reckless mood, because in the end she is just a reality star and she can’t afford such a house at all. The villa is for sale for 1,950 million euros.
Her parents Erica and Martien are not lucky either, because their Pension Code Rosé has been for sale for ages. Even in that case there is no one who wants it and with that they of course do not have a strong negotiating position.
“We don’t say anything”
To curb the negative publicity over their real estate, the Meilandjes have decided something together. There comes the Weekend Behind when they ask Erica: “What about the sale of Maxime’s house and that of your guesthouse code rosé?”
Erica on that: “We have agreed to no longer comment on this topic because it only influences the sale negatively.”
Private
In the end, Erica, Martien, Maxime and her lover will move into a new family villa. And it will not be visible on TV, unlike their new holiday home in Italy. “The house in the Netherlands is easier to drive for those who want it, so we don’t want to give it publicity.”
She concludes: “We want to be and stay private there. The difference with Italy is that the house is located in a very quiet village. You don’t see a dog there.”
