Fresh package is popular with consumers
Amsterdam – Sales of domestic consumption as well as the export value of fruits and vegetables continue to rise. Despite high transport costs, a shortage of sea containers, Brexit and various lockdowns, the sale of Dutch fruit and vegetables abroad showed growth in 2021. The Dutch themselves also more often grabbed an apple or eat vegetables last year, after sales already received a huge boost in 2020.
