Asian grocery stores have been popular with Finns, especially when the product required by the recipe is not found in a convenience store. However, it would be worthwhile to get lost in Asian supermarkets more often, including when buying basic cabinet ingredients.
We compared prices between two Asia and the Middle East stores and Prisma. In Hakaniemi Vii butter has specialized in Southeast Asia products and Itäkeskus Alanya Market Sold mainly products in the Middle East.
The comparison is not meant to be comprehensive, but it gives you direction about which products may be cheaper in Asian grocery stores than in a large grocery store. Prisma was randomly chosen as a reference.
