Ümit National Football Team played away against Lithuania in the 5th match of Group H of the 2027 European Under-21 Championship Qualifiers. The Crescent and Stars won the difficult match 2-1 with the goals of Ali Habeşoğlu.
Türkiye started the match quickly and took the lead 1-0 with Ali Habeşoğlu’s goal in the 1st minute. The score remained unchanged for the remainder of the first half.
Host Lithuania managed to balance the game in the second half and brought the score to 1-1 with Domantas Sluta in the 75th minute. However, Türkiye’s response was not delayed. Just one minute later, Ali Habeşoğlu came on the scene again and put Ümit Milliler back to the top with the goal he scored in the 76th minute.
Türkiye, which managed to keep the score in the remaining period, left the field with a 2-1 victory and achieved a critical victory in the qualifiers.
With this result, Türkiye increased its score to 11. Lithuania remained at 1 point.
