Motion with caveat
Several council members come up with alternative residential locations that could provide a new home for the residential group. “They want a house with seven bedrooms, two sanitary facilities, a living room and space for two washing machines. There are many buildings like this in Bloemendaal,” says van der Rest.
Although several options for existing homes were mentioned in the submitted motion, Koster announced that he would still remove them in order to convince everyone.
The motion is adopted, but with a new caveat. The residential group and supporting supporters leave the town hall relieved, but still concerned. “You don’t have a home yet,” Josje mutters.
