The wrong trees are being planted on a large scale in the Netherlands, ecologists warn against NU.nl. The so-called ‘forests strategy’ has a tube vision of CO2, which means that local species are not taken into account and that it even accelerates the loss of unique biodiversity. They call for a review of the plantings in order to stop further damage to nature.
