After ABBA released their current record “Voyage” last year after a break of almost 40 years, the band has now released a total of nine studio albums. Therefore, an updated collection of all ABBA albums will be released shortly (May 27th). In addition to all nine long-players, the ten-piece set also contains a bonus disc with titles that have only been released as singles so far, such as “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)” or “Fernando”.

The collector’s edition will be available on both CD and vinyl. The 10-CD set also includes a 40-page booklet containing historical photos of the band and information on all ABBA albums.
“Voyage” concerts: ABBA only appear virtually
The Swedish pop band is currently causing anticipation not only with the announcement of the box set, but also with their upcoming virtual “Voyage” concerts. These are not contested by the four ABBA members Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Agnetha Fältskog, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus themselves, but by their rejuvenated digital copies. These “Abbatares” will perform a selection of the band’s greatest hits over the course of 100 minutes, accompanied by a live band. It was recently revealed that the avatars’ stage outfits were made by luxury design houses and are said to be inspired by Greek deities.
Busy: ABBA release lyric videos, Björn Ulvaeus a musical
The “real” band members meanwhile dedicate themselves to other things, for example a large-scale lyric video series. A lyric video with a new design will be dedicated to all tracks of the greatest hits album “ABBA Gold” over a period of 12 months. “Chiquitita” was the first turn, then the ESC title “Waterloo” from 1974 got a colorful new music video.
Meanwhile, Ulvaeus was busy preparing a musical. His production “Pippi in the Circus”, which is based on Astrid Lindgren’s children’s classic and is staged with Abba songs, celebrates its premiere in Stockholm on July 1st.
