“If we can do that, that would be extraordinary,” said the head of the supervisory board of the German Football League shortly before the start of the semi-final second leg of the Hessian Bundesliga club against West Ham United on Thursday evening (9 p.m.) on the RTL TV station. At the same time, Leipzig are battling Glasgow Rangers for a place in the final on May 18 in Seville.
“We had a German final in the Champions League in 2013 and of course we all dream a little of getting one in the Europa League in 2022,” said the managing director of Borussia Dortmund. BVB was first eliminated in the group stage of the Champions League this season and then failed in the intermediate round of the Europa League at Glasgow Rangers.
