With the start at the airport, laps through the windy polder and two cobblestone sections, the 170 cyclists can enjoy themselves during The HIVE Battle of Woensdrecht. The cycling race with a total of 25 national and international teams can be seen live on Omroep Brabant.
The cyclists can earn UCI points during this race, but according to the organization that is not the only reason why the race is popular. “We have beautiful cobblestone sections of more than two kilometers. This year they are a bit heavier than last year. The peloton rides in the middle of the polder. If the wind is a little wrong, fans will form. Then we have lived up to our name as the ‘Battle of Woensdrecht,” says Jeroen van Wezel.
The match can be seen live from four o’clock on Omroep Brabant’s website and TV.
