Russia holds a victory parade on Red Square in the heart of Moscow every year on May 9. In this way the victory over Nazi Germany in the Second World War is celebrated. This year, however, the spectacle is a little different. President Putin has significantly simplified the parade. This may have been done due to the heavy toll the war with Ukraine is taking on the country.
