618 COMPETITIONS FROM NATIONALS IN 100 YEARS

The National Football Team is playing in the 618th match in its history. In its 100-year history, the Crescent and Stars team played a total of 617 matches, 338 of which were official and 279 private, and experienced 239 wins, 146 draws and 232 defeats, one of which was by default. The national team scored a total of 840 goals, 263 of which were away matches, 271 at home, and 83 in neutral field matches, 3 of which were wins by default, and conceded 881 goals.

The national team, which has competed with the national teams of 91 different countries so far, played 534 of 616 matches with representatives of Europe, 33 of them with Asia, 24 of them with Africa, 23 of them with America and 3 of them with Oceania representatives.

VIOLATED WINNING AGAINST GREECE

The national team won the only match in 617 matches by forfeit against Greece. The special match between Turkey and Greece, held on 17 November 2015 at Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium, ended 0-0. 6 months after this match, FIFA registered the match as 3-0 in favor of Turkey, on the grounds that Greece had played illegal players.

On the other hand, the special match that Turkey played away against Kosovo on 21 May 2014 and won 6-1 was not taken into consideration because Kosovo was not a member of UEFA and FIFA on that date.

20TH MATCH WITH KUNTZ

Turkey is playing its 20th match against Japan under the management of German coach Stefan Kuntz.

While the national team had 12 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses in 19 matches under the management of Kuntz, the opponent scored 44 times and conceded 22 goals.
