Watch enthusiast Lorenzo (29) stabbed to death in garage under his new house | Domestic

Lorenzo ‘Lori’ Schaasberg was stabbed on Monday evening at just after 6:30 PM in the parking garage of an apartment complex on Pijlstaartlaan. Schaasberg was on his way to his car, a red Porsche, and planned to go to the gym to go to Mijdrecht.

He was resuscitated by ambulance personnel, but died in hospital from his injuries.

Lorenzo Schaasberg was a well-known party organizer in the Amsterdam nightlife. In the past he organized parties at Club Abe. He also held parties at the Supperclub and Club Blue Ivy. Lately he has focused on parties like Boatchella and WWorship. The next edition of the latter party is scheduled for next Saturday.

The victim’s environment reacted with horror to his death. According to acquaintances, Schaasberg was not involved in arguments or conflicts. At the time of the stabbing, he had only been living in the apartment complex in Vinkeveen for a few days. This week, the gym where the twenty-something often visited was shocked by his death. “It’s really shitty that this happens to such a good guy,” employee Roos van Huisstede previously told this site. “He came here almost every evening. He was a really nice boy. A sweetheart, a sweetheart.”

Lorenzo Schaasberg was a watch enthusiast. Social media shows that he wore expensive, rare watches from Patek Philippe and Rolex. It is still unknown whether watch theft was the motive for the stabbing.

A police spokesperson says he is still keeping various scenarios open. “We are busy with the investigation. We cannot yet say anything about the initial results.” The suspect has not yet been caught. The search for the suspected perpetrator wearing black clothing and a black sports bag is still ongoing.
