Washington on Sunday denounced the “provocative visit” of far-right Israeli minister Ben Gvir to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. That is according to a statement from the US State Department, which also reports that it is “deeply concerned” by a decree from the Israeli government that allows Jewish settlers to settle permanently in the settlement of Homesh in the West Bank.
