Immediately the emergency services made every effort to keep the dwarf fin fish alive, especially by keeping the animal wet. In addition, a bulldozer was used to dig a trench, so that the dwarf fin fish could swim back to the high seas faster. Eventually the animal could be accompanied back to the sea around 4 pm. In the early evening the dwarf fin fish rinsed twice more, but the rescuers were able to push him a little deeper and deeper. Around 6.30 pm he suddenly disappeared from sight.
On Monday morning the dwarf fin fish was not found on the beach. Everything indicates that he eventually found the road towards the Open Zee. “In order to be able to speak for a good outcome, we will still keep our finger on the wrist to the next low tide,” said Kelle Moreau of the KBIN.
