Warriors take a lead in NBA finals for the first time after winning in fifth game | Other sports

Guided by an unleashed Andrew Wiggins, the Warriors seemed unchallenged on their way to victory after the first half. Despite a lead of twelve points, the team still had to pull out all the stops in the third quarter to secure the win. Boston came alongside again in the third quarter and even took a five-point lead, but saw that margin evaporate again at the end of the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter, the Warriors put things in order and did not hand over the win. Wiggins played the best game of his eight-year NBA career with 26 points and 13 rebounds.

The sixth game will be played in Boston on Thursday.
