Warning due to slippery conditions, KNMI issues code yellow

The KNMI warns of slippery conditions due to the freezing of wet road sections and winter precipitation on its way. The weather institute has issued code yellow for Sunday evening and all of Monday.

Some snow already fell in the southeast of the province on Saturday night. The rest of Brabant will probably only have to deal with this on Sunday evening, night or Monday.

Weatherman Wouter van Bernebeek from Weerplaza announced on Saturday that this Sunday will be cloudy and that it will rain for a long time in many places, especially in the morning. It will only become a bit drier in the afternoon. During the day, increasingly colder air will flow over the province and showers will pass over the province. “Then it will be so cold that those showers could well be wintery. With hail, wet snow and perhaps some real snow here and there in the east of the province.”

Code yellow has been issued for the period from ten o’clock on Sunday evening until the beginning of the night from Monday to Tuesday.
