The temperature of the water fluctuates around 21 degrees. At the first leap in the channel it is a shock, but that feeling disappears quickly. “In the beginning it is a bit cold, but after jumping a few times that is not so bad,” it sounds.
“It’s fun and on such a hot day it is good to cool,” says a young swimmer. Others call free swimming in their own city an extra asset: “You don’t waste any money and the water is cold, so perfect.” About 150 people come to take a dip every day. Due to the warm weather and the crowds, the swimming time can be limited.
