Wanda: Drummer Valentin Wegscheider leaves the band

The band recently announced their new album ENDE NIE. Now the drummer leaves the group.

Valentin Wegscheider announces his departure from the Austrian band Wanda with an Instagram post. The drummer cited personal reasons for his departure. He was particularly affected by the loss of his father and his aunt. According to him, the group would separate by mutual consent.

But this isn’t the first time the drummer has left the group. Before his breakthrough with the album AMORE (2014), he left Wanda, who then brought in Lukas Hasitschka as drummer. After Hasitchka announced in 2020 that he wanted to leave the band, Wegscheider decided to get back behind the drums. Three years after his comeback, he is now withdrawing again – probably mainly to concentrate on himself.

Tour start without a permanent drummer?

The Austrians are going on tour in 2024 and have also announced the release of a new record. Her sixth album ENDE NIE will be released on June 7th, 2024. It is not yet known who will pick up the drumsticks on Wanda’s upcoming tour and next concert on December 22nd in the Wiener Stadthalle.
