Walloon government wants to increase the employment rate by mainly boosting Dutch language skills

The Walloon government has adopted a new plan to improve language skills for students and job seekers in order to improve their chances on the labor market. The ‘Language Plan’ is mainly intended to boost knowledge of Dutch, says Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo. Last week, MR chairman Georges-Louis Bouchez championed bilingualism as the norm in our country. “The fact that I don’t speak Dutch is the Walloon school system’s fault,” said Bouchez.
