SV Waldhof Mannheim has presented its first winter transfer – a striker. But it is not the expected royal transfer Terrence Boyd. The former Nuremberg, Braunschweig and Sixzger Kevin Goden (24) comes from 1. FC Düren from the Regionalliga West. There he leads the top scorers list with twelve goals from 16 appearances. According to information from “Sky” reporter Florian Plettenberg, who recently reported about an impending move, they are still working on signing the 32-year-old Boyd from 1. FC Kaiserslautern.

“Kevin is a player who has impressively demonstrated his qualities this season and scored the most goals in the Regionalliga West. He brings a high level of speed to our game, which will enliven our offensive game,” explained Waldhof managing director Tim Schork.

Schork initially said nothing about the expected role of Goden, who gained third division experience at 1860 Munich and Eintracht Braunschweig and even played in the Bundesliga at 1. FC Nürnberg. This is in question because FCK veteran Boyd has been primarily expected to be signed in the center forward position for a few days now. According to reporter Plettenberg, Goden’s move does not preclude that of Boyd. Negotiations are continuing about a transfer fee for the American Boyd with the Lautrern team, who recently released the player and allowed him to leave the training camp.
