The Flemish government will save an additional 330 million euros this year and – just like the federal government – will later implement the increase in wages and benefits. According to the Flemish Minister for Budget Ben Weyts (N-VA), these measures are needed to keep the Flemish budget on track for the planned balance in 2027.
