A parked delivery van caught fire in Coevorden tonight. That happened on the Doctor Picardtlaan.
The fire raged at the front of the vehicle. The fire brigade extinguished the fire, but could no longer save the delivery van. The cause of the fire is not yet known. The police are investigating.
It was also hit on the Wildbaan in New Amsterdam; A parked car caught fire there. The firefighters quickly got the fire under control, but little remained from the car.
In the night from Friday to Saturday, a car also went up in flames at the carpool site along the A37. Whether there is a connection between the two incidents is still being investigated. The police do not exclude arson.
