Von der Leyen wants Ukraine in the EU: “You are one of us”

The EU passed a THIRD package of sanctions against Russia on Sunday. Brussels is tightening the sanctions against the Kremlin despot Vladimir Putin (69) because of his barbaric war of aggression in Ukraine at an ever faster pace.

And: On Sunday evening, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen (63) spoke out clearly in favor of Ukraine joining the EU!

When asked by a Euronews reporter about the country’s inclusion in the community, she said: “In time, they actually belong to us. They are one of us and we want them in.” She also emphasized that there are already several areas of cooperation.

“We talked about concrete decisions to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capacities, about macro-financial aid and Ukraine’s membership in the EU,” Zelenskyy tweeted on Monday night.

Also on Monday night, Zelenskyi also spoke to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Polish President Andrej Duda about the current security situation in Ukraine.
