With 19 points from Haak the reigning champions confirm themselves in first place in group A. From Tuesday 17th the Club World Cup begins
Conegliano-Plovdiv 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-19)
Conegliano consolidates first place in group A, dominating only at times over the Bulgarian side Maritsa Plovdiv. For the Panthers it is the sixteenth consecutive victory in the Champions League over three editions, the twenty-fourth in a row at home in Europe. The last defeat within the friendly walls of Palaverde dates back to 13 March 2019 against Eczacibasi in the first leg of the quarter-finals.

The Bulgarians remained in the match for half of the first set (15-13) and then succumbed to the attacks of Chirichella and Haak. The second set is in fact a solo for Conegliano, who continues to work very well with the block and to compensate for Gabi’s negative evening in attack. However, Plovdiv plays openly and remains close to the score for the entire first part of the third set, also taking the satisfaction of staying ahead after some exchanges. The Panthers drop in quality and find a break (15-11) thanks to some trivial errors by the guests. Just a little experience allows Conegliano to close the case quickly without risks. Now the Club World Cup operation begins in the group against Praia, Ninh Binh and Red Rockets starting from Tuesday 17th in Hangzhou, China.
Conegliano: top scorer Haak 19, blocks 11, aces 5. Plovdiv: top scorer Dudova 18, blocks 2, aces 4.
