Bergamo-Busto Arsizio 3-0 (26-24, 25-19, 25-21)

Bergamo defeats Busto in less than an hour and a half, interrupting the long positive streak of Barbolini’s girls. With this success the Bergamo team are placed in fifth place, overtaking Eurotek Uyba, with 27 points. Another masterful performance by Cese Montalvo (Mvp) who scored 23 points with 60% in attack. For Busto, who only really played in the first set, a defeat that does not change the goals at the start of the season. For captain Lualdi’s team, Van Avermaet’s performance was good, scoring 12 points with 63% in attack.

Stratospheric game from Candi (Mvp) who scored 20 points (57% in attack), including 8 blocks and 1 ace. The opposing Albanian Bici scores 18 points, while Weitzel, lined up in place 2, scores 12. For Perugia the usual Nemeth keeps the Perugian flag high with 22 points scored (top scorer), while Ungureanu does poorly, scoring only 6 points with 29% in attack. For the green and whites there are now 21 points in the standings, while the Perugia remain fourth from last at 11.

CONEGLIANO-TALMASSONS 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 28-26)

Everything went well for Conegliano who won the match 3-0 (14th victory in a row in the championship, still unbeaten) despite a hard-fought match in all parts. The first set starts in a hard-fought manner on both sides, tied at 6. Eckl and Haak score the first break, Botezat responds well to the block for 11-8. Ace from Eze who brings the Friulians within two. However, the home team showed a sprint and scored six consecutive points to take the lead at 19-12. Talmassons, however, does not give up and tries to reinvigorate himself, managing to cancel four set points for Santarelli’s team who then closes at 25-22. Talmassons approaches the second set very well, scoring a break that brings the Friulian team to 3-10. After two set points, however, Conegliano pulls out his claws, bringing the situation back to parity at 12 all. New important break for Conegliano who moves ahead by four points with Lubian’s ace, 18-14. The home team maintains the advantage and closes with Haak at 25-19. The third set is still fought, but in the end the world champions win 28-26.
