Heavy victory for Allianz Milano which scores its fourth consecutive useful result and continues its run at the top of the table. The advance allows Civitanova to temporarily stay in third place while waiting for tomorrow’s results. The result was balanced only in the first set in which the Lazio team started well inspired by Lanza and maintained the advantage until halfway through the set. Time for the Brazilian setter from Milan, Fernando Kreling, to get into the rhythm and warm up his attackers. The Belgian Reggers is growing (second best scorer of the World Cup behind Sokolov with two games less), but Tatsunoki and Recine are also growing a lot, giving speed and unpredictability to the Lombard attack. And it is the Japanese hammer that seals the overtaking in the score which then leads Milan to win the first partial closed by an error by Mazzone. From then on, Piazza’s team controls the match, conceding little to a Cisterna team that struggles in reception and only sporadically manages to be effective on the block. In the third set Morato changes opposite, inserting 2005 Barotto in place of Guzzo but the guests continue to dictate the law. The final, however, is at risk with Cisterna recovering to 24-24 with a good block and a Barotto who is also good at managing difficult balls, then Recine and an ace from Reggers (he makes seven in the whole match) close the match
Tank: Mazzone 10, blocks team 10, ace team 3
Milan: Reggers 19, blocks team 4, aces team 9 (Reggers 7)
