Schilder did not have to make too much effort to become Dutch indoor champion again. Earlier this month, De Volendam achieved the best performance of this year with a distance of 20.49 meters. With this she knocked Sarah Mitton off this year’s world rankings.
The shot putter from Volendam hopes for a new peak next month. She will then participate in the World Indoor Championships in Torun, Poland, from March 20 to 22. Schilder defends her silver medal there. She won this in Nanjing, China, after her previous European indoor title.
