Meijers himself also likes to play in the FC Volendam shirt next season. “I think FC Volendam suits me. In the first instance it was a look at how it works and it looks good.”
Meijers has a past at FC Volendam. In 2006 he made his debut in professional football. He did that in the shirt of Volendam. The defender then played four seasons for the North Hollanders. He then played for RKC, ADO The Hague and Sparta Rotterdam.
