With the agreement, the Flemish government is following the most important recommendations of the expert committee. Voka emphasizes that implementation is crucial. The employers’ organization requests that the agreement be converted into decrees and decisions before the summer, so that a new permit framework can be in force by the summer of 2026 at the latest.
“The licensing knot slows down the investment climate,” says managing director Bert Mons. “This action program can make permitting smooth again, but the Flemish government must now act quickly.”
