VOKA also advocates a clear vision of the future for tourism in Bruges, which is viable and profitable. “The port will build a new cruise terminal. We have nothing against that in itself. But that is not so much in favor of residential tourism. What interests us above all is: how are we going to develop this further. That especially helps the economic capacity.”
Finally, Voka also asks that the city of Bruges reconsider the current hotel stop. This would put a brake on investments in existing hotels and, according to the organization, is not consistent with the profile of a conference city.
