National coach Per Johansson has put Roos Daleman and Loïs van Vliet on the provisional selection for the upcoming European Championship in North Macedonia. In addition to the duo of the Amsterdam VOC, there are still 33 players on the list.
Daleman and Van Vliet were not part of the 21-man selection that secured the European Championship qualification this spring. They are also missing from the Golden League matches that the Netherlands will play against Denmark, Norway and Switzerland from next week.
Almost all players who qualify for a spot in Orange are active abroad. Except for the two handball players from VOC, only Quintus player Bianca Schanssema is included in the preliminary European Championship selection.
The European Championship starts on November 4 and lasts until November 20. The Dutch team will face Romania, North Macedonia and France in the group stage.
