VMAs: Måneskin are celebrated live by Taylor Swift (video)

The performance of “Honey (Are U Coming?)” received a loving response from the singer.

This is the second year in a row that Måneskin has performed live at the MTV VMAs. The Italian band, who received the “Best Rock” award for their 2022 single “The Loneliest,” performed their track “Honey (Are U Coming?)” at the awards ceremony and won over the audience – including nine-time VMA winner Taylor Swift.

With a camera in hand, Måneskin frontman Damiano David started the performance not on stage, but in the crowd. It wasn’t just the band’s fans who could barely stay in their seats given the rock star’s immediate proximity. Taylor Swift also blew the singer an air kiss as he passed her seat. Shortly afterwards, Damian David turned his back on her and went back on stage to his three band colleagues.

Måneskin’s live performance at the VMAs also caused a stir in 2022. Drummer Victoria De Angelis’ top fell down, causing MTV to later edit out part of the “Supermodel” performance. The group won the award in 2022 for their single “I Wanna Be Your Slave.” Her album RUSH! was released in January 2023 and includes 17 tracks. Måneskin are currently on their big world tour.
