A visit to Eindhoven in October last year a supporter of Sporting Clube de Portugal was expensive. The Portuguese club played against PSV that day. During the competition, the supporter threw fireworks on the Markt in Eindhoven. A man therefore suffered serious hearing damage. The Portuguese has to pay substantial compensation, the police judge determined Tuesday.
Six people were arrested around the Champions League match in Eindhoven because of, among other things, order disturbance and insult. On the Markt in Eindhoven, where many Portuguese supporters had gathered, fireworks were thrown. A man was injured in his ear, because fireworks exploded close to him.
At least one of the suspects is a sporting supporter. He was found guilty of abuse on Tuesday because he threw fireworks that day. The man receives a community service of 120 hours and has to pay compensation of 4500 euros.
