Actor and restaurateur Ville Haapasalo54, got into a dangerous situation in Georgia.
– You meant to go really bad, Haapasalo says on Tiktok.
– My hands are still shaking, he says.
Haapasalo says in his video that he borrowed a car from a friend because he wanted to try driving in Georgian traffic. He drove onto the bridge at a speed of about 70 kilometers per hour when another car started to pass him in the left lane.
– For some reason it drifted into the oncoming lane. Then he quickly turned the wheel to the right. Then I saw from the left side mirror that suddenly its beak started to come towards us. Then the driver hit the brakes and I saw that the car was coming towards me, says Haapasalo.
– I tried to brake and turn left to get out from under it. Then it flew straight into the concrete fence, he continues.
According to Haapasalo, the driver’s car in question was scrapped to salvage condition. However, according to Haapasalo, nothing happened to the driver. Haapasalo didn’t stop because he didn’t know how to stay and help the driver.
– I drove past it and realized that if he had come to my side, it could have pushed me off the bridge, the man reflects.
– There is a lot of great things in this city, but the traffic here is impossible. That’s why I’m sitting here and we’re driving quite calmly here, he adds.

Iltalehti could not reach Haapasalo to comment on the situation in more detail.
Haapasalo told Iltalehti at the beginning of April that he plans to move to Georgia in the fall. Haapasalo could not say whether he would stay in the country permanently or temporarily.
The country is strongly linked to Haapasalo’s life. Haapasalo, who loves Georgian cuisine, has created an entire business around food from the country with Haapasalo’s hatsapuri. Cheese bread hatsapuri is a food that is central to Georgian cuisine.
– It’s strange that it took so long to think about it. However, it has been a very close country to me for a very long time, Haapasalo stated about his move.
Haapasalo still has work in Finland, but in Georgia he has plans for restaurants, television and theater, among other things.
Haapasalo said that he also has many acquaintances in Georgia. Haapasalo said he had met the president of Georgia to Mikheil Kavelashvili recently through a mutual acquaintance. Haapasalo and Kavelashvili have discussed possible cooperation.
– He is also a reasonably down-to-earth person, Haapasalo stated.
