Villa Rozerood has 14 rooms that are fully adapted to the needs of children in need of care. The team of nurses takes over medical care, both during the day and at night. “That makes us particularly unique,” says coordinator Bart Devos.
The effect requires strong financial efforts. “Every year we have to get around 600,000 euros together to offer the stays at a democratic price,” explains Manu Keirse of Villa Rozerood. “Many families are already in a hard time financially, because often a parent can no longer work due to the care of the child. It remains a big adventure every year, but we have succeeded in it for fifteen years.”
