The attacker saw goalkeeper Brad Stuver standing far in front of his goal and decided to try from the halfway line. The ball eventually fell right over the keeper, who was back too late. Stuver even got injured trying to stop the ball and had to be replaced.
Yet it was the American who had the last laugh. Without him, Austin, leader in the Western Conference, still managed to win 1-2.
