The remodeling of The Bombonerathe emblematic Boca Juniors stadium in the La Boca neighborhood, began to take shape with the dissemination of the first images of the projectwhich show significant transformations in one of its most emblematic sectors. The main focus is on the Low L stall—just flush with the playing field—which will cease to be its traditional configuration to become a space with better access, renovated bathrooms and greater comfort for members who frequent that sector.
Part of the transformation includes the installation of a food court similar to the one that already exists in the Platea Mediadesigned so that fans can enjoy gastronomic services inside the stadium. These works are expected to begin in the coming days and, if no unforeseen events arise, they are expected to be completed between April and May.
The scope of the intervention goes beyond the aesthetic: the internal works also contemplate the unification of the access tunnels of both deviceswhich will allow the visiting tunnel to be eliminated and the substitute benches to be moved to a single sector, generating a more efficient distribution of space within the field.
In recent months, progress has already been made with the placement of columns that form the skeleton of what will be the new Gate 3which will give access from the traditional address of the stadium in Brandsen to the heart of La Bombonera. To these tasks will be added in the coming weeks the installation of a 30 meter LED display and improvements to the main hall and nearby parking areas.
The current remodeling of Platea L is part of a broader plan that seeks to prepare the stadium for future capacity expansions and structural improvementsalthough for now the main focus is on making more comfortable and modern fan experience who attend games and events.
The project combines traditional maintenance with innovations designed to put the legendary xeneize stadium in line with current demands for comfort and serviceswithout giving up its characteristic soccer atmosphere that makes La Bombonera a unique place for Argentine sports.
