The first international rally victory of my career tasted good.

Mikko Heikkilä drove to victory in the Swedish EC rally.
The victory was the first in the EC series for the 34-year-old Heikkilä. Victory has been close in previous years before, but a looming misfortune at the very last moments turned the celebration into sadness.
This time Heikkilä celebrated deservedly. Runner up Martin Sesks was 15.7 seconds behind the Finn.
The victory of the rally was decided on the penultimate special stage of the race, when the leader of the race Teemu Suninen bumped out of the top spot in the rally. Suninen had a tight second battle with Heikkilä and Estonia Jaspar Vaheria against, so the Finnish double victory was really close.
– This has been a hellish trip. I’m super relieved. I’ve dreamed of winning an international competition for so long and it’s been close a couple of times, but something has always stopped it. This belongs to all of you who have supported me to get to this moment, Heikkilä is feeling her deserved first place on Instagram.
He also gave an additional theme to the blue and white party Ville Vatanen driving to the overwhelming number one in the ERC3 class.
