Fermin Aldeguer won the MotoGP Indonesia Grand Prix. In the race on the Mandalica runway, the young pilot reached the first victory of his career with an impressive performance. The rest of the podium consisted of Spaniards. Pedro Acosta was second, Alex Marquez saw finish third.
Before the race, the weather conditions were very challenging. The air temperature reached 32 degrees, while the asphalt temperature rose to 60 degrees. High moisture and wind forced the pilots. Ai Ogura, Jorge Martin and Maverick Vinales could not participate in the race due to injuries.
Most of the pilots preferred a soft, back tire mid dough on the front tire. Acosta, Bastianini and Binder with medium dough on both tires; Quartaro hard on the front, soft on the back; Rins and Oliveira started with a double soft tire.
At the beginning of the race, Pedro Acost took a great exit and took the lead. Marini, Aldeguer and Rins followed him. However, dramatic moments soon took place. Marco Bezzecchi was behind a bad start after Marc Marquez. 7. He touched his front tire while trying to cross Marquez on the bend, and both drivers fell to the ground.
This accident was an unfortunate end for Marquez, the champion of the season. As he fell to the ground, the Spanish pilot, who hit his right arm severely, suffered greatly and was taken to the health center by the runway. A small fracture was detected on the right shoulder.
Evaluating the opportunity with the fact that the big favorites are out of the race, the young Fermin Aldeguer achieved the first MotoGP victory of his career by making a difference to his rivals in the remaining tours.
