Paris Saint-Germain is in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The French champion won a long -time rapid second leg after penalty shootout at Liverpool FC.

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma held the penalty of Darwin Nuñez and Curtis Jones and thus became a match winner for the French.

After extra time it was 1-0 for PSG with a goal from Ousmane Dembélé in the 12th minute. With this result, Liverpool had won the first leg in the French capital.

PSG turns the skewer around

To describe this victory of Liverpool as happy would be an understatement. Paris was playfully superior to the tower, had significantly more chances and degrees than Liverpool. The leader of the Premier League, however, had an outstanding Alisson Becker in the goal and towards the end a perfect “joker”. Harvey Elliott did not shoot the goal for a minute after his substitution.

In the second leg, PSG turned the skewer, at least related to the initial phase. Mohamed Salah gave a great opportunity when he shot right -back Nuno Mendes, who a little later also defended a header from Virgil van Dijk. One of his typical Salah Schlenzer also flew past the goal.

Dembélé hits and forgives great chance of 2-0

The guests then met with the first good attack. Ibrahima Konaté slipped into a flat cross from Bradley Barcola and thus provided a perfect template for Ousmane Dembélé. The former Dortmund pushed in the ball (12th), so the gap from the first leg was quickly balanced.

The spectators on the Anfield Road also saw a breathtaking game. Liverpool, which had completed the league of the Reformed Champions League as the league leader, pushed for the equalization, the league leader of Ligue 1 started dangerous counterattack.
