On his X account, the tweeteror Santino Dezzotti posted a video of Patricia Bullrich confusing the Chamber in the plenary session of the Labor and Budget committees of the Senate. The user supported the edited version that he uploaded to the networks with a forceful “she’s gagá. And this was the one who was going to manage Villarruel!!!”.

In the recording, the former Minister of Security refers to the Corrientes Eduardo Vischi as a “deputy”, even though he is a senator. “Bitch who gave birth to him with this, it never comes out, skinny! I get confused because I was a minister and deputy but never a senator. Excuse me, it comes out automatically,” apologized head of the block of La Libertad Avanza.

While several Internet users appreciated Bullrich’s uploaded blooper and Dezotti’s message, one X account in particular caught attention. Villarruel herself made the post visible by retweeting the message, but avoiding any reference to the video and the accusation to the Buenos Aires senator, she highlighted: “How great your cover photo!!! It didn’t occur to me!!” The cover photo of the Villarruelista digital activist is of the vice president holding a sword, a sneaky way of disseminating the troll’s dart against the Mileista legislator.

A moment later, in a tweet from his

Victoria Villarruel

This exchange of tweets is another episode of the cold war between both officials, who share the same political space. The relationship between Villarruel and Bullrichhas become one of the most visible political insiders within the ruling party of Freedom Advancesmarked by open tensions and public clashes that show profound differences in support for the government’s agenda.

In July 2025, the then minister harshly criticized the president of the Senate for not interrupting a session promoted by the opposition to discuss projects that complicated the legislative strategy of the Executive, accusing her of being “complicit in destructive Kirchnerism” and of “denigrating the institution” that she presides, in a harsh message posted on social networks. The vice president responded by defending her actions under the Constitution and the Senate regulations, arguing that her duty was to guarantee the independence of the body.

Villaruel and Bullrich

With Bullrich’s victory in the mid-term legislative elections, the leader landed in the Upper House. On Friday, November 14, one month before assuming the new legislative position, Bullrich was invited to the vice president’s office in the Senate. At the meeting there were no cameras, no official photo, no toasts; only coffee, forced smiles and an exchange of gifts with subliminal messages: Bullrich left Villarruel a National Constitution as a gift – alluding to the accusations of coup plotting that the vice president received from the harshest mileismo environment -, while the vice president responded with a bottle of wine. Malbec. A nod to the minister’s supposed weakness for spirits.

This is how the two iron ladies of La Libertad Avanza maintain their mutual reproaches and public defenses, thus becoming a thermometer of the tensions that cross the Argentine ruling party and one of the main sources of uncertainty about how the major legislative decisions will be handled in the coming year. But far from there, the officials are observed by perhaps the most powerful woman in the government, Karina Milei.
