From 27 to 29 March, the third edition of the Vicenza Classic Car Show opens its doors to the public, a spring event that brings together the excellence of classic and sports motoring, alongside many new products that have just arrived on the market. A journey through time inside the pavilions of the Vicenza Fair which are transformed into an elegant lounge where tradition and innovation can be compared. Present museums, car manufacturers, Broad Arrow Auctions and the main operators in the sector, with proposals ranging from the most exclusive classics to the emerging ones Youngtimers and Instant Classic. An entire pavilion is dedicated to the sale of vintage accessories, original spare parts, model cars, manuals, publications and specialized publishing, just as a large exhibition area is reserved for sales between private individuals: a precious opportunity to find proposals suitable for all budgets and approach the world of historic cars with great simplicity.

FOUR-WHEEL MASTERPIECES

There is a subtle magic that you can breathe when four-wheeled masterpieces come out of the garages to be admired under the lights of the spotlights. At the Vicenza Fair, under the aegis of Italian Exhibition Groupthe third edition of the Vicenza Classic Car Show kicks off, a refined salon where the excellence of historic motoring openly dialogues with the most fascinating declinations of the contemporary world. This is not a simple exhibition, but a real emotional journey through time, capable of seducing both purists of art collecting and new generations of enthusiasts. Crossing the threshold of Pavilion 7, one’s pulse accelerates when faced with the undisputed queens of speed of the Eighties. The eye is immediately captivated by the sculptural lines of the Ferrari F40the latest creature launched by the Drake: a masterpiece in Kevlar and carbon designed by Pininfarina, capable of breaking the 300 km/h barrier thanks to its formidable 478 HP. At its side stands out the aristocratic brutality of the Jaguar Its futuristic geometries and the famous “scissor” doors, born from the unrepeatable genius of Marcello Gandinicontinue to elicit that Piedmontese exclamation of amazement – “countach!” – who gave it its name and defined its revolutionary visual impact. But the beating heart of the celebrations is all for her, the absolute diva: the Lamborghini Miurawhich blows out 60 candles. The exhibition traces the genesis of the first true supercar in history, starting from the essential L105 chassis of 1965 – designed by young and visionary talents such as Dallara and Stanzani – to arrive at a breathtaking catwalk of P400, P400S and SV models in their original yellow, light blue, white and red colours. A fitting tribute to a groundbreaking car that redefined the very concept of beauty on four wheels, consecrating Gandini’s genius.

THE FERRARI SP2 in Vicenza

The Vicenza salon confirms itself as a crossroads of excellence for high-level international collecting. Broad Arrow Auctionsofficial partner of the renowned Villa d’Este auctions, brings an absolute preview of jewels destined for auction, among which stand out a 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL “Ali di Gabbiano”, a Maserati 3500 GT Vignale Spider, and a fascinating Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster. Even if the true thrill of the great collector is reserved for the expected “unveiling” edited by the specialist Daniele Turrisi, ready to unveil one of the most exclusive Italian supercars whose identity has been jealously shrouded in total secrecy until the end: the Ferrari SP2. The unique charm of this salon lies in its ability to intertwine different eras and philosophies. The dynamic purity of the new 406 HP Lotus Emira V6 meets the legendary Elise S1 dedicated to Romano Artioli’s granddaughter, while the Stars and Stripes legend projects itself into the future with the revolutionary 644 HP Corvette E-Ray and a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 2.9 seconds, which brings hybrid and all-wheel drive into the history of the brand. Alongside the Miuras in the celebratory area, echoes of glorious V12s also resonate at the Lamborghini Club Italia stand, where the iconic Diablo 6.0 VT meets the extreme Huracán STO, ready to hand over the baton to the newborn hybrid era of the Temerario. And since the automobile has always been a mirror of customs and art in movement, the Ferrari Museums give us a touch of absolute glamor by exhibiting the sinuous 1969 Dino 246 GT: coming from the refined exhibition Greatest Hitsthis icon reminds us how the design of the Pininfarina atelier has bewitched not only gentlemen drivers, but also global music stars such as Eric Clapton and Cher, transforming the automobile into pure art. A journey into pop culture that continues carefree at the Nicolis Museum: from the romantic Vespa Sidecar to the cute Mival KR 200 from 1958 up to the unmistakable BMW Isetta 300. While the glorious automotive federations anchor us firmly to our roots – with the ASI celebrating its 60th anniversary by bringing together the entire elite of North-East collecting and ACI Storico which pays homage to Sandro Munari and to his Lancia Stratos Alitalia – there are those who catapult us into tomorrow. In fact, Tesla, in addition to testing the innovative Full Self-Driving system, leaves the public speechless by exhibiting Optimus Gen 2, the company’s latest generation humanoid. Between the unmistakable scent of petrol, the fascinating patina of the preserved cars and the visions of our imminent future, the Vicenza Classic Car Show confirms itself as the ideal refuge for those who don’t just look at the car, but love to experience it viscerally until the last beat of the piston
