VfL Wolfsburg remain flawless in the Bundesliga

After some initial difficulties, the VfL Wolfsburg footballers managed to keep their clean sheet in the Bundesliga.

Coach Tommy Stroot’s team beat outsiders MSV Duisburg 4-0 (0-0) after an increase in the second half on the seventh day of the game and drew five points ahead of Bayern Munich before the international break.

Ewa Pajor (54’/90’+2′) and the national players Marina Hegering (69′) and Alexandra Popp (89′) scored for the table leader, who was superior throughout the season but initially too uninspired.

The closest pursuer had already fulfilled his duty on Saturday with a 3-0 (1-0) win at SC Freiburg thanks to a goal by national player Lea Schüller.

In the table cellar, traditional club Turbine Potsdam missed the longed-for liberation. SGS Essen lost 1:2 (0:1) at the bottom of the table and with just one point from seven games they are getting more and more into trouble.

Ramona Maier (11th) and Vivien Endemann (50th) scored Essen’s second win of the season, Martyna Wiankowska (68th) only managed to catch up.
