Hofmann was operated on immediately and the lungs were made functional again. The 32-year-old has to stay in the hospital until he is transportable. Consequently, it can no longer be used for the remaining games of the season. Hofmann played 33 competitive games for the Bochumers this season, in which he contributed three goals and templates. His contract runs until 2026.
