Bundesliga club VfL Bochum missed out on victory in their second pre-season friendly.
Thomas Reis’ team couldn’t get past the 1-1 (1-1) draw against Oberliga club 1. FC Monheim on Wednesday. Striker Silvere Ganvoula countered the hosts’ early opening goal in the 25th minute.
The Bochum team won the test last Saturday 2-0 (1-0) at Wuppertaler SV. On July 30th, regional league club Viktoria Berlin will be waiting for VfL in the first round of the DFB Cup. In the Bundesliga, Bochum will face FSV Mainz 05 a week later.
